As Fairy Fleur landed once again on Lydia's
windowsill, she was very tired. Lydia was
still sleeping soundly, and Fairy Fleur flew to
the bedside cabinet. She took the golden pouch
from her pocket, and reached for the tooth,
which she carefully placed into the pouch and
then back into her pocket. With a sigh of
relief she turned to fly back out of the
window. But oh my! As she turned, she
caught her dress on a thorn of one of the roses
in the vase. As she struggled to free her dress,
she tore it, and then clumsily knocked a book
off the cabinet, and it fell to the floor with a
loud thud! With that, Lydia woke up, and
before Fairy Fleur could escape through the
window, she realised that it was too late -
Lydia had seen her!
